UNLIMITED CRAFTY X GULF

The crafty carbon gulf edition was the last and third of the models included in the collab with the iconic oil brand, this time on the brands all time best seller bike.

The original design was created by Dave Designs, Gulf's authorized designer for this collab. Our challenge was to interpret his concept and adapt it into something that could be realistically produced. Building on the experience gained from the Neat and Dusty Unlimited projects, I worked closely with the Blue Lab paint shop to ensure the design was feasible to reproduce consistently across the entire limited drop, covering multiple frame sizes and swingarm variations. Painting one bike was simple; replicating a hundred with millimetric precision was an ambitious task that was executed successfully.

Room for error had never been this tight. Turning such a complex design into something easily replicable was my biggest challenge to date.

DUAL HERITAGE

It needed to feel natural, respecting the heritage of both brands while ensuring it still looked unmistakably like a Mondraker. Capturing the essence of Gulf’s iconic racing identity wasn’t easy and required several rounds of collaboration with the original designer.

BUILT FOR DESIRE

It needed to look like a collector's piece, premium, exclusive, and desirable, yet still true to Mondraker's performance DNA.

The Crafty × Gulf project became a true exercise in precision and collaboration. Beyond adapting a complex design, it was about translating vision into something tangible, where every detail reflected intent. It demanded coordination, trust, and craftsmanship at every stage, resulting in a limited edition that embodies balance, exclusivity, and the spirit of both brands.
